A postpartum doula provides professional support primarily during the postpartum period (after your baby is born). Although I can support you beforehand too (see “services” for more info)! I can help you settle in at home, figure out lactation/feeding goals, learn infant care techniques, and, of course, get good rest!

Yep! I am certified with both the Washington State Department of Health and Childbirth International. I was also certified with DONA, but my certification expired and I found I can serve more families through these other certifications I have pursued.

For now, I do not, however, I am actively working on being able to accept Medicaid (Apple Health). I am certified with the Washington State Department of Health and can provide an itemized invoice or superbill if you’d like to use HSA/FSA or have doula benefits through your insurance or employer.

You might not, and that’s OK! Decision fatigue is real, especially when planning for birth and postpartum. I can offer some “starter” packages, and we can always talk about adding as needed.

I am based in Tacoma, WA, and generally serve Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, and King counties. A travel fee is applied for visits over 20 miles from my home, plus any toll or ferry fees.

I am very OK with pets being in your home. In fact, I used to be a professional pet-sitter back in the day. Just let me know if they have any behavioral issues I should be aware of. Bringing home a new baby can be challenging for many pets.
